Affordable rod & reel combo

Having used the Ugly Stik GX2 Spinning Reel and Fishing Rod Combo on numerous occasions, I can confidently say it performs very well. This combo is probably best suited for either entry level anglers or more experienced anglers looking for a backup combo or a travel combo. I´ve been using mine more as a travel rod due to it´s practical size. I´ve caught everything from pike to arctic char on it and I have been very pleased with the performance.

The rod itself feels very durable and although it is on the shorter side at 6 feet, it still has a really good action in my opinion. I have fished lighter lures and had no trouble casting them a good distance. The reel works really well and has a very smooth action, the drag also works great and lets the line out seamlessly when fighting bigger fish. I have used it in both fresh- and saltwater and have not seen any sign of the reel being affected.
